We have just released the new versions of the Country and County pages.
They are quite fancy and have very tight integration with Google Maps. It looks very nice and we are quite chuffed with it, but if you are having any problems with it let us know so that we can keep improving it.
Update:
We have added some lo-band versions just in case your computer is having problems, on the town or county pages just click on the disable Google Maps text at the top right of the screen and it will move you to a faster version of the page without the fancy, but rather nice, gimmickry

Just had a quick look and it is good. A bit slow selecting towns once in the county but this might be my computer.

Yeah, we have fairly fast computers here as it is our jobs, it suffers a bit on the most laden pages (Greater London), but is fairly smooth on most others.
Whilst I don't advise installing it, if you have Chrome installed it goes like greased lightning if you look at it through that.
We have added the ability to switch the maps off now though, just to make sure that as many people as possible can use the site.
